Optima Business Consultants (Optima) was established in 2003 as an investment vehicle in Zambia. The two principals, Tzannetis and Elizabeth Serlemitsos are keen to create projects that will bring a high level of development to Zambia. They started Optima in order to facilitate such development.
Since its inception in 2003, Optima has been used to invest in a variety of businesses, including:

In many cases, the initial investment is made available to local indigenous partners so that they can acquire a larger share of a company, thus building the capacity of local investors. This is the goal and focus of each of the investments that the principals have made through Optima, the ultimate sale or disbursement of shares to local investors.
By utilizing Optima as an appropriate vehicle, Mr. and Mrs. Serlemitsos hope to build the capacity of a number of up and coming local entrepreneurs.
